64. ELIJAH5 SEYMOUR (John4, John3, John2, Richard1), born 6 Aug. 1744, recorded at New Hartford, Conn., died at Skaneateles, N.Y., 22 July 1806; married first, Jan. 1767, ASENATH5 HURLBUT, born 19 July 1742, died 1768, daughter of Josiah and Susanna (Lee) Hurlbut, and sister of Tryphena5 Hurlbut who married Elias Seymour; married second, 1 Mar. 1770, ABIGAIL5 CHAPIN, born 19 Jan. 1749/50, daughter of David4 (Ebenezer3, Japhet2, Samuel1) and Martha (Allen); married third, at New Hartford, 3 July 1777, MARY5 MARSH, born at New Hartford, 22 July 1754, died at Skaneateles, N.Y., 19 June 1839, daughter of Jonathan4 (Jonathan3, John2, John1) and Theodocia (Kellogg).

He was an officer in the Light Dragoons in Revolutionary War.

Removed in 1791 from New Hartford, Conn., to New Hartford, N.Y., thence to Marcellus, N.Y., thence to Skaneateles, N.Y. He was a saddler by trade, supplied soldiers with saddles and holsters, took his pay in Continental money, and of course lost it all.

iv. ABIGAIL, b. 23 June 1783; d. at Skaneateles, N.Y., 10 Apr. 1841; m. 13 June 1805, SOLOMON6 EDWARDS, b. at Westhampton, Mass., 2 May 1779, d. 5 Mar. 1863, s. of Solomon5 (Ebenezer4, Nathaniel3, Nathaniel2, Alexander1) and Catherine (Clark). Six children.
v. CATHERINE, b. 13 Apr. 1785; d. at Skaneateles, N.Y., 22 Sept. 1865; m. REV. TURNER MINER, a Baptist minister of Auburn, N.Y., who d. Aug. 1830.
vi. LAURA, b. 20 May 1787; d. at Hannibal, N.Y., 20 May 1862; m. 13 Jan. 1807, DR. PHILETUS SPRAGUE. Eight children.
vii. ORLANDO, b. 26 Apr. 1789; d. 20 Apr. 1882; res. St. Louis, Mo.; served in the War of 1812; an Elder in the Presbyterian church; m. (1) MAHALAH PARKER; m. (2) MARY PADOCK; m. (3) CLARACY SMITH. Child by first wife (two other sons and two daus, d. young):
I. Manville7, b. 5 Mar. 1815; lumberman, res. (1883) St. Louis; Ruling Elder in the Presbyterian church; twice married.
