91. TRUMAN5 SEYMOUR (Joseph4, Zachariah3, John2, Richard1), born at Colebrook, Conn., 30 Sept. 1773, died at Western, Oneida County, N.Y., 7 Oct. 1833; married 19 Oct. 1795, MEHITABEL CHAMBERLAIN, born at Holliston, Mass., 4 Aug. 1774, died at Oberlin, Ohio, in May 1859, daughter of Samuel.

He was a blacksmith; removed from Colebrook, Conn., to Winsted, Conn., about 1807; to Elmer Hill, N.Y., in 1815. β€œHe was an ingenious mechanic, and much esteemed for his social qualities and obliging disposition.” He enlisted at Winsted, Aug. 1813, for service in the War of 1812, and was at New London.
