235. LIEUT. RODNEY7 SEYMOUR (Allyn6, Allyn5, Timothy4, John3, John2, Richard1), born at West Hartford, Conn., 17 Sept. 1794, died at Redfield, N.Y., 1 May 1867; married 21 Apr. 1818, SOPHRONIA SHERWOOD, born at Fairfield, N.Y., 14 Feb. 1800, daughter of Jeremiah and Abigail (Hall).

He served in the War of 1812, in the N.Y. Militia in 1814. He was commissioned Lieutenant of Oswego County Militia, 1822.

He was present in the Campaign of 1862 before Richmond, at Antietam, and received his mortal wound at Fredericksburg while commanding Co. E.
